The Arcadia Riptides Swim Club is one of the oldest, active swim clubs in Southern California. A tradition of team pride and personal excellence started in 1965, by Arcadia High School's Hall
of Fame Coach Ray Peterson.
During his tenure as the Varsity Swimming and Water Polo coach, his teams won multiple Pacific League titles and CIF Championships. His contributions to the swimming community extended to the
Riptides as well as the City of Arcadia.
Today the tradition continues with swimmers who have not only excelled in the water but in their communities as responsible citizens and exceptional student athletes.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is governed by a Board of Directors who are committed to providing a safe, fun, and fair experience where children can learn the values of
sportsmanship, goal setting, and friends for life.

Our professional coaches are all certified and strive to bring out the best in each swimmer. Many are former Riptides themselves and care deeply about personal growth as much as performance
growth.
